2020 Mini-Grants Awarded
November 29, 2020
Thanks to your support, the National Wolfwatcher Coalition awarded two mini grants. The recipients are The Voyageurs Wolf Project and Tundra Speaks.
The Voyageurs wolf project is a collaborative effort between the University of Minnesota and Voyageurs National Park. They hope to gain a greater understanding of predation behavior and reproductive ecology such as the number of pups born and den sites. Our grant will help them purchase lithium batteries to power remote cameras. The footage is a critical aspect of their research, media outreach and education campaign. Follow them on Facebook.
Tundra Speaks teaches how different cultures view the wolf and the importance of the wolf to the ecosystem. Our grant will help provide exciting, interactive educational programs to both children and adults. Follow them on Facebook.
