Timber Wolf Alliance Technical Report 2016
March 31, 2018
The Northland College Timber Wolf Alliance recently released a technical report (pdf), surveying the opinions of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Wildlife Society regarding wolf population goals for Wisconsin.
While no single goal received overwhelming support, in general, wildlife professionals were most supportive of the 650 goal, which was the highest numerical goal considered. Respondents generally felt the 650 goal would allow wolves to fulfill their ecological role and was more based on the best available science (relative to the other goals).
