M1197 Luis; the shy one, Mexican wolf M1197, Luis (also called Louie), was born in 2010 at the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, Missouri.He and 3 brothers moved to the Albuquerque Biological Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2012, where they remained together for several years.Luis moved to Southwest Wildlife in December 2018 and was paired with female Mexican gray wolf F1034 Penny.Although Luis is a shy wolf around people, he and Penny are quite happy together in an off-exhibit enclosure at the sanctuary.Photo: Southwest Wildlife Center:Luis ...
