When the wolves were hunting the elk who eat the grasses, they keep the elk from eating too much. According to “Campground Kids Grand Teton Stampede” by C.R. Fulton and Dylan Bakken.Bear Bottom” by Stuart Gibbs, however, when the wolves were gone, the elk ate too much grass. This connects to the river banks because the grass roots hold the banks together, but when the elk eat them, the banks will erode.According to “The Return of the Wolf: How Much Do They Rebuild Ecosystems” on Newsela by Phoebe Weston, with wolves in national parks like Yellowstone the elk stayed away from meadows and river banks to avoid being hunted.ResponseThis helped by allowing these areas to regenerate, this allowed animals like beavers. The result , the aspen went from being grazed down to flourishing.This is short but, I can see that teaching is occuringand with parents the message is being sent. Not all at once, but little people are listening.Moving forward through teenage years the knowledge is extended by visits to the parks and hopefully the desire to become involved. Withyoung adults that may move forward and in timethat’s hopefully transfer to park employment.We must continue to teach the younger brains are quick to attach to new thoughts. It’s very important to continue the knowledge which in the end protects our parks and extends I to the country for a balance environment. It takes time but continuous participation necessary. It’s necessary to grasp people attention and sometimes we have Wolfwatchers who find there way into involvement.
